The New Job

I got a new job! It's AMAZING....its fabulous! Imagine being in
H
E DOUBLE HOCKEY sticks...and after a lot of hard work and many many prayers you are lifted to a place that feels like heaven....aka my new job at Mentor Graphics www.mentor.com! I am working in the Marketing Department and my role covers the online marketing for events, workshops, seminars and trade shows for our department. I think that's the best way to explain it without going into boring detail. Guess what? I love what I do! Can you believe it? Because I can't! But it's actually fun! The people I work with are GREAT! My manager could not be cooler. He is so laid back, down to earth, funny, fun, and just great. My group is amazing...the environment is laid back and just great! Without evening knowing that I would love the job and what I would be doing or knowing anything about the company, I was excited to start something new. I had met the people in my group and I felt great energy and I was excited to work with people who were happy, positive, upbeat and hopefully had souls, unlike the people at poopliner. Ha ok that was rude, but not an exageration. With that in mind when I got to work on my first day, I was in for more excitement than I could had ever imagined! I met with my manager he brought me to my desk and showed me some break areas....listen to this, they provide free soda of every kind in these break areas, every kind of herbal tea, coffee, milk, coco of every flavors, sugar free, low sugar, splenda, they also have this movie style popcorn maker with fresh popcorn in the afternoon! So after I got settled at my desk which sits right next to a huge window with a great view, I was given a tour of the campus, which might I add is beautiful! There are amazing walking and running trails covering the grounds. There are ponds inbetween the trails and the buildings... little walking bridges connecting the walking paths, huge trees covering the grounds. The outside landscaping just beautiful! Its like they plopped the buildings (4 buildings in total) in the middle of the forest. There is a building called "The commons" which has the cafeteria, the gym, and other amenities including: a few pool tables, a fuse ball, a big screen tv with couches, a ping pong table, and a saloon to get your hair cut and colored. There is a huge outside eating area with picnic tables and umbrellas that sit along side a pond with a fountain that is surrounded by green trees and beautiful landscaping. Its just unreal. Then on top of that there is a great gym in this common area. It has all the weights you would need, 6-8 treadmills, elliptical, bikes, all the cardio stuff, tvs, etc. balls mats... a full sized basket ball quart...they also offer DAILY AEROBIC classes! And my manager also told me to feel free to go to whatever classes I'd like whenever. There is a daily schedule that offers Cardio, yoga, Pilate's, weight training...ect...the commons has a locker room, including hairdryers, Sana, and a jacuzzi! And to top it all off, if you would like they provide you with free personal training sessions for as long or as little as you'd like. UH HELLO IS THIS WORK? YES IT IS AND I WORK HERE! I can not believe it! Its just unreal! So needless to say I am LOVING, absolutely loving my new job! My schedule has changed it bit which is still taking a bit of getting used to, but its still great. We sleep in a bit longer than before until 4:45 then I leave at 5:00 it takes me about 25 minutes to get here..(which is about the same commute we had at freightliner)then I work out shower and get ready in the locker room (I'm the only person at the gym and in the locker room..most people don't get to work here until 8:30-10:00 its weird) but I start around 7:00 and work until 4:00 that way I am home by 4:20-4:30. I'm used to being finished with work by 2:30-3:30 but honestly, you can not beat all of this. I could not ask for anything more! We really had our prayers answered. Heavenly father ALWAYS knows what he is doing and what is best for us.....its just seeing through the trial or the hard time to get to the good time that is so hard. Dave told me that leaving Freightliner would be a blessing and something really good would come of it. I was so upset and caught up in the thought of us not working together and not being able to spend the extra time together. We have seen so many blessings come through me leaving freightliner...way to many to list. Me finding this job is just the icing on the cake! I feel so blessed to have found this job and this company! I actually get excited to go to work! So there you have it! I actually love my job! I never thought I would or could say that! What a change!

Wish I could go on the walks with you. Sorry I've been so distracted the last few times you've called on your walks. I don't like being so busy but such is the life. But I still love you and miss you!
